Crusader's Sword
The Crusader Sword
The Crusader sword was the mark of a knight, carried through Europe and the Holy Land in the 11th–13th centuries. Practical and balanced, it was built for campaign—used in shield walls, charges, and the defense of fortresses. Its straight, double-edged blade cut and thrust with equal ease, while its cruciform hilt symbolized the faith that bound its wielders. To draw it was to bear both duty and identity: soldier, knight, protector.
Description
Sword Masters Challenge’s Crusader Sword is an 85 cm LARP weapon inspired by medieval arming swords. Its 55 cm double-edged blade includes a fuller for strength, with a crossguard and rounded pommel shaped after authentic designs. Built as a hybrid, the blade is closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core with a latex finish, while the polyurethane handle mimics leather and steel. Durable, safe, and realistic, it is ideal for knights in reenactment, training, or LARP.
