The katana was the soul of the samurai—an oath of honor and loyalty, forged in fire and folded steel. Believed to be alive, it embodied the warrior’s spirit and the code of Bushidō. Worn with the wakizashi as the daishō, it represented a complete soul: one blade for war, the other for duty.

Description
Sword Masters Challenge’s Katana is a 100 cm latex-hybrid longsword with a curved, single-edged blade hand-painted to resemble folded steel. Its guard and menuki-style wrapped handle balance elegance with control. Built with closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core, sealed in latex, and finished with a polyurethane handle, it combines durability, safety, and authentic style.

History
Traditionally forged by folding steel for unmatched sharpness, the katana became the samurai’s symbol of rank, honor, and authority. Together with the wakizashi, the daishō bound warrior and spirit.
